[Troubleshooting Mobile WiFi Connectivity Issues]
Symptom:
WiFi signal is at full strength and connected, but websites won't open or load very slowly.
Causes:
Unable to obtain IP address
IP conflict
Solution: Manually Assign IP Address
1. Go to your phone's WiFi settings.
2. Select the connected WiFi network and long-press it.
3. Choose Modify network.
4. Enable the Show advanced options checkbox.
5. Find the IP section and change it to Static.
6. Set IP address to 192.168.6.111 (for example). Note: 192.168.6 is the router address; 111 can be any number between 2 and 255.
7. Set Gateway to your router's address (e.g., 192.168.1.1; you can find this on the back of the router).
8. Set DNS the same as the Gateway.
9. Save the changes.
Additional Tips:
Enable Network Acceleration: In the WiFi settings, tap the three dots and select WLAN+. Turn on WLAN+ to improve network connectivity.
Stay Connected When Screen is Locked: Go to your phone's Battery settings and enable the Always keep mobile data on during sleep option. This prevents the network connection from being interrupted when the screen is off.
By following these steps, you can resolve the issue of not being able to access the internet even when connected to WiFi with a full signal. If you experience this problem, try these solutions, and hopefully, they will help you resolve the issue.
